Greenwich Library is seeking an Event Planner to plan and implement large-scale signature events and/or series, including approximately four-to-six premier events a year, as well as working with other on-going programming for the institution. For 200 years, Greenwich Library has served as the intellectual and cultural hub of its community. The Library, one of the busiest in New England, serves the 62,000 residents of the Town of Greenwich through its Main library and two branch libraries, the Byram Shubert Library and the Cos Cob Library.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of two (2) years professional event management experience. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public relations, marketing, communications, English, library science, special events management is required. Experience gained in a library or literary environment preferred.
