The mission of the Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) is to support economic prosperity for women and strengthen communities through entrepreneurial and financial education services that create and grow sustainable jobs and businesses across Connecticut. From starting or growing a business to increasing income, the Women’s Business Development Council drives business success in a tangible and accessible way.

WBDC has three job opportunities.

Bilingual Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator’s core function is to coordinate the implementation of entrepreneurial and financial education programs and services for child care providers in English and Spanish. These services will take place virtually and throughout Connecticut. This includes outreach, logistics, facilitation, and delivery of services.

Bilingual Business Advisor
A part-time position, the Business Advisor is primarily responsible for delivering relevant, cutting-edge, bilingual and bicultural quality entrepreneurial programs and services to WBDC clients, particularly child care businesses, to help them launch, maintain and scale sustainable businesses, with a focus on Fairfield and New Haven Counties.

IT Coordinator / Operations Specialist
WBDC is seeking a tech-savvy, entrepreneurial, and customer-service oriented leader to serve as its full-time IT Coordinator/Operations Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Impact & Operations, this multi-faceted role straddles operations, systems improvement, process improvement, staff training, and client services. The overarching goals of this position are to a) ensure the effective implementation and usage of technologies by WBDC team to achieve workflow efficiencies, high customer service, quality delivery of programs and services; and b) support the delivery of quality technology and technology education to small business owners, supporting their ability to achieve business growth. This role provides a unique opportunity to play a critical role with a reputable, rapidly expanding organization that is at the forefront of business development services for women in Connecticut.
