Adam Schair is a communications professional with over 20 years of expertise in leading teams in large companies who drive employee and marketing communications. Since March of 2019, Adam has been the head of Internal Communications for New York Life, where he has overall responsibility for employee communications, change communications, internal executive communications and content strategy, and its employee advocacy program.

Prior to New York Life, Adam was the Global Colleague Communications leader for Mercer, a Marsh McLennan company. Before Mercer, Adam spent 20 years at Thomson Reuters in various marketing and communications leadership roles, with his last role as head of HR communications for the global company. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Adam began his professional career as a labor and employment attorney at Littler Mendelson, PC.

Adam has his BS degree in Labor Relations from Cornell University’s School of Industrial Relations, a JD from the UCLA School of Law, and an MBA at the Johnson School at Cornell University. For three years between 2017 and 2019, he was an adjunct professor of Corporate Internal Branding at the Brand + Integrated Communications school at City College of New York. While Adam comes from the corporate world, internal communications issues, as he will share, extend across all lines and sectors.
